Everything we can know, before we decide anything.

Some people have been unwell for long enough that they don't want another educated guess. They want the full picture on how their hormones are behaving, what's happening in their gut, and the genetic tendencies underneath both that explain why the standard advice has never quite worked for them.

That's what this package is. Three tests, taken together, give us a genuinely complete view: what's happening right now, and what your body has always been inclined to do.

Who it's for

This is the right package if any of these sound familiar:

  • You've tried things that work for everyone else, and they haven't worked for you
  • There's a strong family history of something you'd rather get ahead of
  • Your results from standard testing have always come back "normal" while you've felt anything but
  • You'd rather invest once, properly, than keep spending in small amounts on things that might help

DUTCH Complete - at-home hormone testing for men

A dried urine test you collect at home over a single day. It looks at testosterone and how your body is actually using and metabolising it, not just how much is there, alongside your cortisol pattern across the day, which is where energy, sleep and stress resilience become visible. It's the test I turn to for:

  • Tiredness and reduced stamina that rest doesn't fix
  • Low mood, flatness, or motivation that's drained away
  • A drop in sex drive
  • Sleep that's become broken, or waking at three in the morning
  • Thinning hair or a changing hairline
  • Weight settling around the middle despite no real change in habits

Why the detail matters

The detail matters here. Two men can have identical total testosterone on a blood test and feel completely different, because what counts is how much is free and available, and which pathway the body sends it down. That's what this panel shows, and a standard blood test doesn't.

GI-MAP with Zonulin - at-home gut testing

A single stool sample, analysed in far more depth than standard testing allows. It shows which bacteria, yeasts and parasites are present and in what balance, how well you're digesting your food, whether there's inflammation, and, through a marker called Zonulin, how well your gut lining is holding its barrier.

In practice, this is what explains bloating that arrives from nowhere, unpredictable bowels, food reactions that seem to shift week to week, and the fatigue and low mood that so often travel alongside them.

DNA Health - at-home genetic testing

A simple cheek swab, done once, that never needs repeating.

This looks at genetic variations affecting how you process nutrients, handle fats and sugars, manage inflammation, detoxify, and maintain bone health. It doesn't tell us what will happen to you. What it tells us is where your body needs more support than average, and that's precisely the information that explains why an approach that worked for someone else did nothing for you.

Some examples of what it can show:

  • How efficiently you use folate and B vitamins, which affects energy, mood and how well your body repairs itself
  • How you respond to different types of fat; for some people, saturated fat matters enormously, for others far less
  • How readily your body mounts an inflammatory response, and what tends to settle it
  • How well you clear caffeine, alcohol and the by-products of everyday metabolism
  • What your long-term bone and cardiovascular health needs, particularly relevant if either runs in your family

Why all three, together

Your gut and your hormones aren't separate systems. Chronic gut inflammation drives up cortisol and suppresses testosterone, and poor digestion means the nutrients your body needs to make hormones in the first place, such as zinc, magnesium, B vitamins, never fully arrive. Meanwhile, low testosterone and high cortisol both change how the gut behaves. It runs in both directions, which is why treating one and ignoring the other so often stalls.

And underneath both sits your genetics, setting the tendencies. Your gut and hormones show what those tendencies are currently doing, in your actual life, with your actual diet and stress levels. Genetics without functional testing is theory interesting, but not actionable. Functional testing without genetics tells you what's happening but not why it keeps happening.

Together, we build a plan that's targeted at the things your body genuinely struggles with, and relaxed about the things it handles perfectly well. That second part matters more than people expect. A great deal of health advice is effort spent on things that were never your problem.

Before we begin

A detailed health and symptom questionnaire and a food and lifestyle diary, which I review in advance. We'll also confirm that testing, genetic testing in particular, is right for you before anything is ordered.

Your initial consultation, 60 minutes

A full picture of your health history, symptoms, diet, lifestyle, alcohol intake, training, family history and any medication, so that testing is targeted and everything I recommend works safely alongside what you're already taking.

Your results consultation, 60 minutes

We go through your hormone, gut and DNA results properly, and I explain what's been found and what we're going to do about it. You'll receive a written protocol afterwards covering nutrition, targeted supplementation where clinically indicated, and the practical changes that will make the most difference.

Follow-up consultation, 45 minutes

Once you've been living with the protocol, we review how it's going, sort out anything that isn't working, and adjust around what is, including a maintenance plan.
